  Who We Are

  Come join Intel's Component Debug Post-Silicon team (CD) as a Physical Probe Engineer. The team is responsible for root causing silicon issues.

  Who You Are

  This position requires an individual with demonstrated abilities in problem-solving and providing technical leadership. The primary emphasis of this position will be in the area of post-silicon debug and optical tools development. This will require the Engineer to perform fault isolation to root cause silicon failures, isolate defect modes, and engage with cross functional teams such as test and validation engineers, circuit designers, wafer fabrication process engineers, and high-volume manufacturing for efficient and accelerated failure analysis. Partners to resolve any quality issues, sharing ownership of failure analysis, temporary mitigation options, and permanent remedies. Provides inputs on investigation areas for failure analysis or design process improvement and ensure performance to specifications. Develops new debug technologies, methodologies, and tools to advance the state of the art for silicon debug by utilize modern techniques in fault isolation such as LVP, IREM, LADA, and TIVA, and to apply a strong understanding of the test vehicle in order to locate failures quickly and reliably. Training will be provided on these tools, techniques, and product architecture however the Engineer will be expected to stay abreast of cutting-edge methods and designs through interactions with teams across Intel. Communication skills are a must as the individual will interface extensively with FIB, test, and design engineers in order to understand and explain the failure. The Engineer will be expected to ensure that customers' needs are comprehended and met in a timely manner and to achieve results that are of benefit to both organizations.

  Qualifications

  You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  The candidate must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field and 2+ years of experience

  Relevant experience should be concentrated in the follow areas:

  Experience within VLSI circuit design or device physics or process engineering

  Good working knowledge of Computer systems (i.e. Windows, LINUX, and UNIX)

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Strong hands-on lab experience

  Strong problem-solving skills

  Computer programming experience and at least basic Python and Unix skills

  A strong interest in design with a desire to deeply understand relevant portions of the product

  Design of experiment (DOE)

  Product Development Engineering experience

  Basic knowledge of CAD tools: Cadence Allegro or Mentor Expedition, or equivalent

  Willingness to work independently and tackle tasks under minimum supervision

  Statistical/data analysis (MATLAB, Excel, JMP, etc.)

  Knowledge of optics and laser functionality

  Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

  Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.
