　　The primary qualifications needed to become a lead pharmacy technicianinclude certification as a pharmacy technician and in-depth knowledge ofall technician roles. We count on our lead techs to promote a positiveattitude and work as team players. We expect these individuals topossess the following skill sets beyond those of a regular technician atan expert level:

　　? In depth knowledge of all policies and procedures

　　? Mastery of current software programs

　　? Able to effectively run, maintain, teach, and troubleshoot all aspectsof automated dispensing machines

　　? Inventory Control

　　You must have a minimum of two years of experience as a RETAIL pharmacylead technician. Requirements for All Technicians: General tasks andresponsibilities are similar to technicians in a retail store. We have ahigh level of patient telephone contact so you must enjoy working withpatients on the telephone. Applicants should have a solid understandingof insurance and the ability to explain coverage, benefits, formulariesand copayments to our patients. Daily Tasks include but are not limitedto:

　　? Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.

　　? Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacydispensing system.

　　? Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.

　　? Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receivingdrug orders.

　　? Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.

　　? Stocking prescription medication.
