Description

　　Support and assist in the coordination of Pharmacy Services activities including drug compounding and transporting of compounded drugs, medication refills and prior authorization claims, compounding pharmacy maintenance and scheduled cleanings, inventory management of drugs and infusion supplies, under the supervision of the Advanced Practice Pharmacist.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　Coursework/Training: Successful Completion of a State Recognized Pharmacy Tech Program. And

　　Successful passing of a competency test and registration course.

　　California Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in an outpatient, ambulatory care, retail, or managed care setting, or completion of a technician training program, with a demonstrated ability to learn technical skills.

　　Pharmacy prior authorization experience.

　　Oncology compunding experince with proven competency

　　Knowledge of USP <797> and <800> compounding regulations

　　Managed care experience.

　　Experience using electronic medical records.
