DescriptionSign-on bonus eligible: $3,000!!!The Medication Reconciliation (med rec) pharmacy technician is an essential and valuable team member that will utilize his/her skills and abilities to obtain accurate and thorough patient medication and allergy histories. The medication histories will be utilized by healthcare prescribers to optimize safe practices and provide high quality care to patients. The technician will function as a member of the pharmacy team as well as an integral component of the emergency department personnel. Additional duties may include inventory and stocking of pyxis machines, delivery of patient medications, and communication between ED personnel and pharmacy. In addition to the primary job duties listed above, the med rec pharmacy technician may be crossed-trained to assist with additional duties in the pharmacy.Pharmacy Technician 2 is accountable for assisting pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications and sterile products for patient administration. These activities include but are not limited to: unit dose medications and IV admixtures, parenteral nutrition, floor stock pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, and other defined systems.Accurate preparation of patient medications including sterile products, chemotherapy, unit dose, cartfills, TPN, narcotics.Accurate and timely delivery of patient specific medications.Timely delivery and retrieval of patient medications.Inventories, replenishes, and maintains drug stock which includes automated dispensing cabinets.Assist the Pharmacist with medication/patient care related issues.Equal Opportunity Employer -- minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
