St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a BMT/Hematology Oncology Pharmacist to join our Cancer Institute Pharmacy team.
Our oncology pharmacists work closely with other healthcare professionals in a team setting to optimize patient experience and outcomes.

Responsibilities
Review appropriateness of prescribed medication therapy
Provide medication information and consultation to patients, nurses and medical staff
Interpret prescriptions, compound and dispense medications
Supervise and authorize the work of technicians, externs, interns and support staff
Prepare and maintains all necessary records on medication therapy, prescriptions, patient charges, medical records and inventory
Perform cognitive clinical pharmacy services and document findings and actions in accordance with standards of the medical center
May assist in the training of technicians, externs, interns, residents and other department staff
Serve as a role model and mentor to technicians, students, residents and new practitioners
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Additional responsibilities for the BMT/Hematology Oncology Pharmacist:
Combination of inpatient BMT/Heme malignancies and outpatient BMT clinic position with focus on heme malignancies, auto and allo transplant and cellular therapies (including CAR-T & bispecifics)
Round with providers in the inpatient setting on the BMT/Heme malignancies services and provide recommendations for optimal care related to medications
Work side-by-side with providers in the outpatient BMT clinic position including medication therapy management and patient education
Utilize protocols for pharmacist-driven management of various medication therapies (including opportunity to become a credentialed provider)
Be involved in development and implementation of patient care guidelines
Qualifications
Degree from an accredited pharmacy program
Valid Idaho Pharmacist License
Preferred experience includes PGY2 Oncology Residency, Blood and Marrow Transplant, or equivalent
