　　We have 3 types of pharmacists shifts which we rotate to give ourpharmacists a little variety. This position includes all 3 shifts.

　　This is by no means a comprehensive job description but will give you anidea of what to expect especially if you are a retail pharmacist readyto explore a new and exciting chapter in your career. (We will gladlytrain)

　　Clinical Pharmacist:

　　Prepare for and attend morning rounds/discharge planning meetingwith hospitalist/nursing and related health care professionalsEnter orders if needed, and verify all CPOE (Computerized ProviderOrder Entry) orders for all inpatient servicesOversee and perform the medication reconciliation processContact and confer with prescribers if there are any questions orirregularities regarding medication orders and discrepancies withmedication reconciliation.Clinical monitoring of TPNs (Total Parenteral Nutrition), heparinand pharmacist-to-dose VancomycinConsult with physician and nursing staff concerning theavailability, form, side effects, dosing, pharmacokinetics,medication information and compatibilities of currently availabledrugs.Carry out hand-off communications with other pharmacists andpharmacy technicians which includes all pending issues, orders,dosing, labs etc.Operations Pharmacist:

　　Supervision of the department in the absence of the DirectorSupervise the filling and dispensing of Employee Prescription PlanprescriptionsAvailable for clinical medication information to clinical practices,providers, nurses etcSupervise, prepare and check all IV compounds, oversee IVtechnicians (Non-Hazardous and Hazardous Medications)Assist in coordinating daily workflow with IV, distribution andfloating techniciansReview all infusion orders for the Outpatient Treatment Center fordosing and accuracyFloating Pharmacist:

　　Assist the operational and clinical pharmacist as necessaryAdditional duties as may be assigned by the Director of PharmacyAll Pharmacists:

　　Document all clinical interventions, adverse events and performanceimprovement processes within 48 hoursAttend meetings as assigned by the Director of PharmacyVerify and check Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC) after refilled,record all events and discrepancies for process reviewRespond to Code Blue calls when availableOn-Call responsibility, 30-minute response time if needed physicallyin facilitySupervise and assist with maintaining proper inventory
