Job Summary:
Performance Improvement Technician
Under the general direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, the Performance Improvement Technician will coordinate & monitor all aspects of narcotic drug distribution & usage. This position will troubleshoot daily issues related to narcotic drug distribution systems (e.g. NIR, CSAR & Omnicell). They will help develop, implement & monitor department performance improvement projects under the supervision of pharmacy leadership. They will be responsible for the automated dispensing machine process for override reconciliation, documentation & follow-up to ensure clinical staff are compliant with Center policies & procedures. Excellent customer service, good communication skills, ability to work independently & as part of a team are integral functions of the job.
Minimum Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
Area of Study in a Field Related to the Position
5 Years of Experience
Registered Pharm Tech
Experience with automated dispensing systems (e.g. Omnicell, Pyxis, etc)
Knowledge of state and Federal Pharmacy laws and Joint Commission Standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree
The current salary range for this position is $30.15 to $44.78
