Medical, dental vision, 401k and many other benefits are available without a waiting period.Purpose:Performs analyses in area of specialty to support contracted programs, independent research, and development efforts, and bid and proposal activities.Actively participates in new business and follow-on activities.Position requires expertise in the field, independent work, creativity, and the ability to solve complex engineering problems.Independently applies engineering principles of fluid dynamics, gas dynamics, heat transfer analysis, and aerodynamics to the solution of engineering problems.Major Position ResponsibilitiesHas full technical responsibility in area of expertise on an individual program.Carry out complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved engineering analysis methods.Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering designs, products, or equipment with respect to meeting performance requirements.Independently develop performance models of components, modules, and subsystems which involve considerable complexity and require application of non-standard approaches in analysis.Write computer programs to model system behavior.Use creativity in developing design approaches which satisfy technical requirements while minimizing costs and providing unique approaches which offer significant technical advantage.Serve as responsible performance analysis engineer on contracted programs.Specify instrumentation, test techniques, and test procedures required to verify analysis.Procedure evolved result in unique test approaches which minimize overall program cost.Make presentations to customers on contracted programs which summarize analysis and test results, which enhance company technical image.Interface directly with customer technical representatives in evolving design approaches and resolving problem areas, may involve travel for technical interface meetings.Anticipate potential problem areas and provides corrective action plan to eliminate or minimize their impact.Continually upgrade knowledge and analysis capability.Maintain a well-organized, neat, and safe work area.Immediately terminate any unsafe activities and advise the EH&S contact of the same.Demonstrate and promote teamwork and cooperation with team members at all levels in the organization to solve problems and improve processes.#LI-CF2Basic QualificationsRequired Education: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Engineering with emphasis on computer modeling and simulation.Years and area of experience (required for the role):5 years related experience.OR Master of Science in Engineering and 3 years related experienceOR Ph.D. Degree and no experience required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:In-depth knowledge of engineering analysis principles and a working knowledge of other related disciplines.Makes enginee
