  Why This Role is Important to Us:

  Commonwealth Care Alliance is seeking a licensed, master’s levels clinician to work at our Crisis Stabilization Unit. As a leader on an interdisciplinary care team, the CCS Clinician provides direct services and varied administrative supports to CCA members admitted to the unit. The CCS is an integral part of a continuum of Acute Behavioral Health Services at CCA, all with the goal of offering our members person centered alternatives to receiving treatment in traditional acute care settings such as emergency departments and inpatient units. They will carry a small case load based on daily census and provide direct care including crisis intervention, treatment planning, running groups, case management, and discharge. They ensure safety of all clients by proactively addressing escalating behaviors and supporting the care team in doing the same

  What You'll Be Doing:

  Works with the CCS Nurse Manager (who may be employed by a partner organization) to provide clinical oversight to CCS Mental Health Workers in how they conduct and document admissions, treatment plans, client daily documentation, and discharge summaries.

  Ensure that the unit follows the daily schedule of program activities, client meetings, and groups. Oversight of therapeutic groups as leader, co-leader, and observer.

  Ensure that individualized treatment needs are addressed.

  Review of crisis unit's group program on an ongoing basis and implement changes to program as considered appropriate.

  Assist by providing instructions and support for member's admitted with complicated aftercare needs.

  Maintains effective working relationships with DMH, ESP's, local community resources, and treatment/rehabilitation programs throughout the Greater Boston community.

  Participate in daily rounds with multidisciplinary team and organizes follow up of identified issues for the unit and for the individual clients.

  Ensure that weekend covering staff are trained in daily workflows in processes in collaboration with supervisor of acute services.

  Ensures that safety protocols are routinely reviewed and followed consistently by all staff (such as emergency systems; identification and remedy of facility safety hazards; security systems; lock up of sharps and any potential toxins; hazardous waste management; checks protocols, checking vitals protocols, etc).

  Performs all other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor.

  Clinical oversight of Mental Health Workers in program activities, Master's level students, and covering CSC clinician staff

  Provide clinical care to members via telehealth technologies (video, chat, etc.) for a clinically appropriate clinical care and care management services.

  Working Conditions :

  Must be willing to work in a non-locked behavioral health setting;

  Periodic need to travel to meetings at other sites.

  Valid Drivers License

  What We're Looking For:

  Education Required:

  Master's DegreeExperience Required:

  2-5years

  Minimally 2 years' experience working in an acute mental health setting with experience with individuals with addiction

  Licensing Required:

  LICSW/LMHC in the relevant jurisdiction for the job dutiesKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  Demonstrated skills in working as an effective team player in a fast-paced unit.

  Demonstrated supervisory experience and familiarity with a range of behavioral health systems complexity including but not limited to continuum of care and resources

  Excellent writing, computer, and verbal communication skills.

  LCSW,LICSW or LMHC license

  Personal Characteristics:

  Ability to work collaboratively as a member of multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.

  Demonstrated ability to work in a pressured situation and maintain clarity, focus, judgment, and compassion

  Ability to provide leadership

  Ability to identify problems and initiate solutions to problems

  Ability to work with people in crisis in a hopeful and compassionate manner and model this for others

  Ability to work independently

  Willing to learn and utilize telehealth technologies (video, chat, etc.), when appropriate, for a variety of clinical care and care management services.

  Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. Employee must also be able to climb at least two flights of stairs.
