Robert Half is working with a reputable CPA firm is presently seeking a skilled Part-time Payroll Specialist to be part of our dynamic team. The selected individual will handle all payroll-related tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Proficiency in Accounting CS software is a prerequisite for this position. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and an engaging work environment where your expertise will be greatly valued.

Responsibilities:

Manage and prepare multi-client payrolls in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Accurately calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime.

Manage and resolve any discrepancies surrounding payroll issues.

Prepare reports on payroll-related matters for management as required.

Update and maintain payroll records accurately.

Assist with year-end processes such as W-2 review and distribution.

Location: On-site near Ligonier, IN

Hours: Busy Season around 30 hours/week -- Off-season 16-22 hours/week (Fridays closed)

Requirements

Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of Accounting CS software.

At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing.

Excellent skills in numerical calculations and data handling.

Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and procedures.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Possesses good time management skills and the capability to meet tight deadlines.
