Description

Robert Half has a great opportunity for a Payroll Specialist looking for a career they can grow in. Robert Half is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their Full Time Consulting Practice. As a Full Time Consultant, you will be assigned to various clients to provide services that are appropriate for your skills and experience. We intend for each assignment to give you the chance to add value to the client and give you the opportunity to learn something new. Each assignment will vary in duration, but typically range from 1 month to 1 year in length. The right candidate will be skilled in their work and motivated to build their career. This is a permanent job opportunity as a full time Robert Half employee.

Typical assignments will include the following responsibilities:

· Timesheet data entry and verification

· Journal entries and monthly payroll accruals

· Workers’ compensation payroll taxes

· Reconciling payroll general ledger accounts and W-2 forms

· Working knowledge of various software packages including ADP, Kronos, Ceridian or Paychex

· Additional projects as assigned

The more diverse your background the better! The ideal Payroll Specialist should have experience with multi-state tax, W-2 forms, and worker’s compensation. The Payroll Specialist should have knowledge of federal, state, and local tax and unemployment practices. Requirements

· Technical knowledge and experience working in large accounting packages including at least one major ERP (ADP Workforce Now, Kronos, Ceridian, Paychex, Excel)

· 3+ years of experience in Payroll

· Strong Microsoft Excel Skills

· A diverse background and a willingness to learn

· A willingness to adapt to different environments and situations
