Description We are in search of a committed Payroll Clerk III to join our team in the industry of data processing, based in WESTERVILLE, Ohio. This role is a short-term contract employment opportunity where you will ensure efficient payroll operations by handling data from time sheets, production records, and individual time cards. You will also be a point of contact for employees, addressing their questions and troubleshooting any payroll-related issues.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input data into the computerized payroll system from various sources including time sheets, production records, and individual time cards.

• Balance payroll runs to ensure accurate and timely payment to all employees.

• Generate federal, state, and local tax payments in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, providing clear and accurate information.

• Troubleshoot any issues within the payroll system, employing problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of practices and procedures within the payroll field.

• Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform payroll functions.

• Work closely with a supervisor or manager, reporting any significant issues or discrepancies.

• Ensure all customer credit records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status. Requirements • Proficiency in payroll procedures and practices

• Ability to process payments accurately and on time

• Experience in supervising staff and overseeing production

• Skill in troubleshooting payroll-related issues

• Comprehensive knowledge of various payroll functions

• Familiarity with time sheets and time cards

• Understanding of local tax regulations

• Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making processes
