A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesSupports the overall activities of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Passenger Safety Program. Maintains up-to-date professional knowledge and skills in the passenger safety field.Maintains a strong technical knowledge of the latest occupant protection standards, including current recommendations for transporting in the vehicle through American Academy of Pediatrics and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Reviews considerations for children with special healthcare needs.Provides car seat safety education to parents and caregivers. Prepares educational materials for hospital staff.Maintains a strong understanding of the various car seat options currently on the market, including their features and limitations, to make appropriate and cost-effective selections for use throughout the institution.Note: Regular, reliable and consistent attendance is an essential job function.
