[This is for part-time as needed employment, for approximately 15-20 hours per week.
[JOB DESCRIPTION:[The purpose of this position is to assist administrative services with evidence, NIBRS, filing, fingerprinting services, processing various forms of legal documents, statistics, aiding the public, performs data entry, and determines fees to be charged. Assists with processing of evidence. Intakes, audits, releasing, and destroying property per department policy.
Serves as the assistant TAC (Terminal Agency Coordinator), ensuring compliance with State and Federal CJIS laws/rules.
Validates incident reports for NIBRS (National Incident-Based Reporting System) compliance, submits data to the State, and ensures compliance with all polices and rules.
Utilizes department RMS (record management system) for data entry, validations, and running of reports.
Maintains and files reports, records, and forms. Makes copies as needed.
Assist with fingerprinting the public through a LiveScan device for adoptions, healthcare/pharmacy employment, ATF Firearms License, securities management or other licensure or employment requiring a physical printed card. Determines fees to be charged and collects payment.
Assist with fingerprinting department employees, state/court employees, and vendors as needed for MSHP and FBI background checks, RAP Back enrollment, and CJIS requirements.
Conducts record checks, arrest inquires, and backgrounds as necessary through MULES/REJIS.
Obtains necessary quotes for department purchases and presents them for approval.
Creates and updates Department forms.
Assists the public via phone, email, or in person regarding fingerprint appointments, property release, or other general questions and inquiries. Provides procedural information when necessary.
Assists with keeping stats and information relevant to performance measures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
