The Plant Manager position at the Paris Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) is responsible for all daily operations in a high paced, customer focused organization. This position will lead the team to achieve continuous improvement with: Inbound Operations, Outbound Operations, Claims Processing & On-time Customer Delivery.
Location: Parts Distribution Centre - Paris
The position will be permanently based in Paris, Ontario
Lead and manage PDC Operationso Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized worko Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / taskso Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest levelo Build Team Leader and Team Member capabilityo Communication & recognition of salaried & hourly personnel
Direct and mentor operations staff
Interaction with all levels of management across diverse functions.
Foster a positive working relationship with Unifor local leadership
Manage operational budgets and business plans
Support service relationships with Dealers and Part Managers
Partner with transportation organizations and carriers
Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities • Ensure flawless flow of parts through proactive planning and cross-functional communication• Effectively implement the Engineering Change Process• Identify data gaps and take corrective actions.• Ensure overall organization and cleanliness of the facility
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Extensive Distribution Operations experience in the Daily Parts Advantage (DPA/EWM) environment.
Knowledge and experience with Parts Service and Logistics Vital Few Metrics (KPI’s)
Extensive background and success with building relationships and working with union partners
Extensive and detailed experience with Partners in Customer Satisfaction (PICS) and Just in Time processing
Proven leadership experience

Knowledge of SAP, MMP, SFP, and other PS&L unique systems.
Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehousing, and Transportation experience desired
Ability to manage to deadlines / timelines, with high degree of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
Drive for results, analytical skills, business acumen and ability to work independently and collaboratively with our partners.
