Description

We are seeking a Paralegal II to join our team in Washington, DC. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the legal industry. In this role, you will be utilizing basic office skills to support the legal team, processing various legal documents, and assisting in legal research.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research and provide accurate information to the legal team.

• Prepare and process a wide range of legal documents.

• Maintain and manage client files effectively.

• Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly.

• Support the legal team in preparing for trials and court proceedings.

• Ensure compliance with legal standards and protocols.

• Collaborate with the legal team to develop effective defense strategies.

• Assist in the resolution of legal issues as required.

• Monitor client accounts and take necessary actions.

• Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.

Requirements • Possession of a Paralegal Certificate or equivalent qualification.

• Proficiency in basic office skills such as typing, filing, and record keeping.

• Familiarity with legal research and legal terminologies.

• Ability to draft legal documents and correspondences.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

• Understanding of legal and ethical standards applicable to the role.

• Commitment to continual education to stay updated with legal developments.
