Pro Staff is hiring a Painter in Anoka, MN, where you will be working for a company that specializes in making steel enclosures for utility, electrical, and computer servers. Shift Details: (Mandatory Overtime) Monday-Friday, 3 pm-11 pm Monday-Thursday, 3:30 pm-1:30 am Pay: $18-$20.25 per hour The Painter will be responsible for setting up and operating paint application equipment to paint various production materials to production specifications. Job Responsibilities: Use manual and automatic spraying equipment to apply paint to all component surfaces conveyed automatically through the powder booth. Hang materials to be spray painted onto the conveyor, unload painted material from the conveyor, and clean and refill all powder feeding units/spraying equipment, and record powder usage. Review shop packet specifications, select the correct color from the stock shelves, and apply the powder by means of a manually operated powder gun. Unload components, perform a visual inspection to ensure complete paint coverage and quality standards have been met, and touch up minor paint defects as required. Stack completed work on pallets and hand trucks, re-identified customer orders, applied appropriate ID tags and delivered material to the specified production department. Comply with all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to the team leader or appropriate resource. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and notify the team leader or other appropriate resources when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc. Perform set-up duties on finishing system equipment and the safety devices in accordance with production documentation, position production materials, and tooling, and maintain proper dimensions according to print specifications. Select and move production materials as required, perform other sanding and tacking, and maintain production equipment. Maintain equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation, perform work in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met, and ensure that products and systems meet clients' quality specifications. Perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances and perform other work as assigned. Participate actively as a team member to achieve continuous improvement through lean activities to meet both internal and external customer needs regarding safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash, and participate in events to implement lean methods and reduce waste in all aspects of the process. This position requires the candidate to have a high school diploma or GED, Powder coat painting experience and knowledge, ability to utilize a pallet jack, lift table, wheeled card, safety equipment, hand tools, measurement tools, fixtures, computer, telephone, and have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and be able to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
