Description:

　　The primary focus of the job is to test raw materials, in-process, and finished products for the production of the Greensboro facility.

　　Perform in-process, final and 6-mo stability testing of products and raw materials, including (but not limited to:

　　pH

　　Solids by evaporation

　　Viscosity (Brookfield)

　　Film evaluation

　　Pendulum hardness by Koenig

　　Minimum film formation temperature

　　NCO determination

　　Refractive Index

　　Water content by Karl Fisher

　　Acid value

　　Hydroxyl value

　　FTIR Analysis

　　Residual monomer by GC

　　Recommend batch adjustments and perform lab blends to correct out-of-specification material

　　Work with sales and technical services (applications) to develop specifications

　　Work with production on process improvement

　　Solve quality issues through partnering with technical services, production, and suppliers.

　　Dispose of laboratory waste.

　　Order lab supplies

　　Manage product informatio, including Certificates of Analysis (COA), non-conformance log, 6-mo finished product testing, and statistical process control charts.

　　Generate 'Error Casue Analysis Reports" for significant customer issues. Work with sales and technical personnel to troubleshoot produc issues.

　　BS in Chemistry and 1-3+ years experience development in specialty coatings, adhesives, and/or composites.

　　Prior chemical manufacturing experience is needed.

　　BEST VS. AVG: Someone who has resin/polymer experience in a QC environment.

　　DISQUALIFIERS: Someone who has no chemical manufacturing experience
