　　Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full time Outpatient Diabetes Dietitian position at Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, ME . The Registered Dietitian will provide specialized medical nutrition therapy to the adult population in the areas of diabetes and weight management.

　　The successful candidate will:

　　utilize the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, intervene and monitor/evaluate patients’ nutritional status;

　　maintain a strong working knowledge of general nutrition and diabetes nutrition;

　　demonstrate competency in nutrition care planning for the outpatient population;

　　serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary care team, with involvement in group education classes, committees and community outreach events as needed;

　　participate in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives; and

　　mentor/coach Dietetic Interns.

　　Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

　　Registered Dietitian credential with licensure in the state of Maine, CDCES credential strongly preferred;

　　two years of experience, preferably in outpatient counseling and/or diabetes care;

　　excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members at all levels;

　　demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs;

　　a history of working independently with little direction and with a positive outlook; and

　　a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field.

　　Qualifications & Requirements

　　Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)(Note:For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

　　Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

　　Credentials Requirement:

　　Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

　　Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice

　　Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
