JOB SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting the392nd Combat Training Squadron's (392 CTS) United States Space Force(USSF) Exercise Support Team (EST) at Schriever SFB, CO, as anOperations Planner for Orbital Warfare (OW). The EST provides support tothe 392 CTS-supported USSF exercises (e.g., SPACE FLAG (SF), POLARISHAMMER, and SKIES series). Each of these exercises is designed to prepareGuardians to execute operations in a realistic contested, degraded, andoperationally limited (CDO) environment against a thinking and determinedadversary. The Operations Planner - OW works with the internal EST team andDelta 9 stakeholders to design, develop, plan, execute, and assessorbital warfare training as part of USSF's service-level exercises and 392CTS-PRIMARY DUTIES:Serves as the 392 CTS's USSF Exercise Support Team's primary interfacewith Delta 9 (Orbital Warfare) and its subordinate unitsCoordinates support and manning requirements with the USSF Exercise SupportTeam subject matter experts (SME) and representatives from Delta 9 and itsassociated unitsGathers information, establishes liaisons, and coordinates with keyinternal and external SF/AT stakeholders in order to integrate OW trainingrequirements into USSF service-level exercises or 392 CTS-supported AT eventsIdentifies gaps and shortfalls in M&S tools needed to provide timely,realistic SF exercise capabilitiesProvides assistance in planning conferences, coordination meetings,training events, etc.Participates as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG) and White CellCaptures, analyzes, and reports observations and lessons learnedidentified during the design, planning, and execution of USSFservice-level exercises and AT eventsSupports hot wash debriefs and After Action Report development after each SFexercise or Delta 9-related AT eventPrepares event-related documents (i.e., trip reports, exerciseplanning/execution products, after-action reports, lessons learned,meeting minutes) within contractual time framesCarries out other tasks and duties as assigned to ensure the success of the392 CTSREQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 10 years of operational space experienceCurrent or previous experience working in Delta 9 or subordinate unitsSelf-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent time management,problem-solving, risk analysis, and organizational skillsPossess strong leadership, negotiation, time management, organization,problem-solving, risk analysis, and team-building skillsAptitude to gather diverse and sometimes opposing stakeholders to workcollaboratively to solve complex problems across multiple agencies internaland external to USSFExcellent writing and communication skills with the ability to focus onbuilding customer relationshipsProven ability to lead large teams in a collaborative, multi-projectenvironmentProven ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritize work, and managemultiple assignments simultaneously without supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel,Outlook, etc.)Ability to work flexible hours to meet exercise requirementsTravel may be required (Less than 30 days/year)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master's degree from an accredited institutionProficient with System Toolkit (STK) or similar orbital analysis softwarePrevious SPACE FLAG experienceUSAF Weapons School graduatePrevious experience designing, planning, preparing, executing,and/or evaluating United States Air Force (USAF) space capabilities inService, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) or Combatant Command (CCMD) exercisesRELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of Orbital Warfare experience. A minimum of10 years of operational space experience.EDUCATION/CERTIFI ATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCIQualifications
