Amentum is hiring an Operations Management Specialist . This position will be filled at an Army program office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD location.
This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires a minimum of 2 days onsite work a week. This is not a remote position.
You are someone experienced with managing the operations associated with an Army acquisition program office serving as the Operations Officer to support development, acquisition, fielding, and sustainment of Communications Equipment. Primary duties involve assisting the Product Manager, the Deputy Product Manager and functional staff leads in managing and executing operations and administrative duties for the product office.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for consolidating, reviewing, and submitting reports on mission and functional status through the organizational hierarchy for potential dissemination to higher headquarters and beyond: to include Weekly Activity Reports (WAR), HEX charts, master activity calendar, and populating the external engagement tracker.
Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and maintaining detailed resource-loaded project schedules and/or the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Master Program Schedule. Works with developmental and operational teams to develop detailed schedules and assists in keeping these schedules current.
Maintains the overall product office master Program & Project Schedules
Provide support to the Product Manager and Deputy as necessary to include planning and coordinating events.
Activity coordinate operations with the Product Manager, Deputy, Project Leaders and associated internal and external functional stakeholders to provide input, maintain project status information and prepare briefs, suspense responses and charts as necessary.
Monitor the daily MIRARS personnel accountability reporting system and correct anomalies as required.
Write, edit, and coordinate military, government and contractor awards and letters, information papers, reports, presentations.
Review various acquisition, operations, administrative and programmatic suspense’s /taskers /data calls from OSD, Joint Staff and HQDA levels.
Develop specific tasks; suspense dates; and coordination and identify a recommended action/lead points of contact or provide concurrence or appropriate comment/input on behalf of the product office.
Track all suspense’s, taskers, and data calls from higher headquarters.
Participate in weekly staff meetings while capturing key notes and actions and disseminate key information as appropriate, tracking actions to conclusion.
Coordinate external reporting requirements to leadership and higher headquarters.
Manage and execute ad-hoc requirements as required.
Recommend improvements to internal operations and administrative procedures.
Prepare, edit and update briefings and other written documentation.
Schedule and coordinate content for program reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, and at least 2 years of operations management support experience.
Or a High school diploma/GED, and at least 6 years of operations management support experience.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS degree.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
Able to resolve issues with minimal assistance.
Good oral, briefing and written communications.
Prior experience providing contract acquisition support to a Department of Defense (DoD) / Army program of record (ACAT 1 to 3) or a DoD/Army acquisition activity.
Experience working independently with minimal guidance provided by senior leadership.
Excellent communication skills and strong organizational skills.
