  Across our portfolio of live event venues and corporate offices, we have an excellent and immediate opening for a part time Operations Coordinator at the ASM GLOBAL Charles F. Dodge City Center Location. The parttime Operations Coordinator member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Assist with all aspects of operations including event coordination, equipment maintenance, event staffing, setups and changeovers, event services, fire and life safety and customer service.

  Move tables, chairs, and various equipment to designated areas according to diagrams, verbal instructions, and event needs.

  Set-up/tear-down of venue spaces (chairs and stage for events, etc.).

  Assist in identifying equipment and structural items in need of repair.

  Responsible for proper storage of supplies and equipment.

  Responsible for equipment upkeep and repair.

  Responsible for stock and equipment inventory.

  Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately.

  Use various mechanical equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, high speed buffers, carpet cleaners, scissor lifts, one man lifts, etc.

  Assist in investigating and resolving operational problems and complaints.

  Maintain equipment and inventory, including ordering all necessary supplies and materials and coordinate needed equipment with the Operations Department or outside service contractors.

  Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage or loss of property or any other safety concerns to supervisor.

  Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, sketches, event documents and preventive maintenance schedules.

  Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.

  Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.

  Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Education and Experience:

  High school diploma or equivalent.

  One year of experience in room setup, warehousing, or related field preferred.

  Supervisory experience preferred.

  Skills and Abilities:

  Good communication skills.

  Knowledge of various cleaning compounds.

  Ability to work independently, exercising judgement and initiative.

  Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.

  Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff and clients.

  Follow all oral and written instructions.

  Ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

  Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

  Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.

  Ensuring and following safety measures and regulations for forklift operation.

  Computer Skills:

  Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  Working Conditions:

  The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility. Part-time / on-call scheduling .

  There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis.

  Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled.

  Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays and can work flexible schedules.

  Office/warehouse environment.

  Some exposure to chemicals used for cleaning.

  Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying up to 75 pounds for up to 5 minutes, moving, climbing, walking and able to standing at long periods of time.

  Constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, moving furniture and equipment.
