　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The Operating Room Technician demonstrates knowledge of surgical instruments and principles of sterile technique. The Operating Room Technician anticipates the needs of the surgical suite within the scope of the position’s competencies with the use of critical thinking. The Operating Room Technician adheres to hospital policies and procedures, is supervised by the Registered Nurse, and collaborates with the surgical team to improve customer satisfaction. The Operating Room Technician is a supportive role and will be implemented, as the needs of the department require.

　　In This Role You Will:

　　Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) strongly preferred

　　Graduation from a Surgical Technician Program required

　　Must Live within 30 minutes of the facility

　　Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateHigh School Graduate / GED

　　Excellent verbal and communication skills

　　HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is a 126-bed acute hospital. We offer a full range of Emergency, Surgical and Inpatient and Outpatient services.
