Description
The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for creating a welcoming and seamless experience for new employees at our non-profit organization. As a crucial part of the Human Resources team, the specialist will help onboard new hires by coordinating pre-employment processes, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring that new team members feel supported and prepared to contribute to our mission. This role is ideal for someone with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and a passion for working in a purpose-driven environment.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred (Source: ERP Market Trend Study—HR Skills Matrix).
Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in onboarding, human resources, or a related field. Experience in non-profit environments is a plus.
Skills:
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to multitask effectively.
Familiarity with HR tools and systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) is preferred.
High level of empathy, cultural competence, and professionalism to work with diverse team members.
