  Job Description Summary

  The Onsite Service Engineer Monitoring & Diagnostics is a key role based in Pasig city, Philippines, managing and performing site installations & servicing of GE Monitoring & Diagnostic [M&D-primary], Protection & Control [P&C-secondary] range of products providing quality customer service covering Philippines and Asia region. You will be working with an International team of engineers and factories in UK, Germany, Canada providing services & technical support reporting to the Services leader based in Australia. Pre / Post sales technical support working in conjunction with the sales & channel teams is also a key part of this role.

  Job Description

  Essential Responsibilities

  Perform and supervise installations, repair services and commissioning of GE’s transformer monitoring equipment across the region.

  Become the local and regional product expert to support customers and channel partners in their planning, execution, product training and post-sales support.

  Support an international team of GE engineers related to field service, product quality improvement, customer feedback and sales.

  Maintain high standard in quality of work, environment, health and safety at site, including working nearby high voltage equipment.

  Provide both external and internal timely, accurate and professional reports.

  Engage with the customer during field visits promoting different service offerings, product range and provide full pre/post-sales support to the sales team whenever required.

  Communicate schedule details, project milestones, time & service history sheets, manpower & tools/equipment requirements to the service leader Asia Pacific

  Qualification Requirements:

  Preferred candidates with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering degree with minimum 2 years of experience in Field service, transformer / electrical equipment maintenance or equivalent work in a substation or other field.

  Engineering graduates with degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering with no experience and strong career interest in the Energy sector and hands on field services are also encouraged to apply.

  Certificates/licenses for EHS, electrical work, technician, construction and other such is a plus.

  Proficient in both Filipino and English speaking/writing is a must.

  Expertise in operating computers, Windows, MS Office tools and other related computer hardware/software configuration with basic understanding of communication protocols and techniques.

  Strong interpersonal skills supported by strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  Desired Characteristics:

  Able to work independently and willing to travel to customer sites in Philippines and Asia Pacific region. Please note that we give highest priority to health & safety of our employees and all business travel is conducted under our EHS and Travel guidelines & standards.

  Must have a valid Passport or the ability to obtain one. A driving license is preferable.

  Attentive towards Environmental Health and Safety regulations and compliance as per GE standards.
