Job Summary We anticipate closing this position to new applicants on February 23rd. Independently manages day to day activities of AESC and coordinates 13 AESC faculty (5 AESC counselors, 8 AESC faculty lab directors), 150 tutors and student workers as needed. Administers and executes the Provisional/Probation project, tutor recruitment processes, and tutor training workshops. Responsibilities Administers and executes the Provisional/Probation student follow-up project for 125 students. Prepares tutor training handouts, obtains food, requests rooms and gives session on pay details. Coordinates and assists AESC faculty on the recruitment of new tutors and provides administrative support. Tracks individual tutor link-up process. Supervises and reviews time-sheets for 160 tutors and student workers every two weeks; Interviews, hires and manages student office workers. Reviews budgets for inaccuracies in billing. Greets students, faculty, administration, staff and public and directs students to appropriate resources; Updates systems and processes as needed. Compiles and archives statistical data of AESC services and provides monthly reports for administration. Direct CAPS students to CAPS support services. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Strong organizational skills. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with students, faculty and staff. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a professional and confidential manner. Well versed in Microsoft Excel. Must enjoy working with students. Required Experience Required Experience: 1+ years of professional experience. Preferred Experience: 1+ years of experience in a higher education setting. Required Education Required Education: Some post-secondary training/coursework. Preferred Education: A bachelor's degree. Additional Information Must be able to work at a computer screen for extended periods of time. This is a 40 hours/week, 9.5 month position.
