FTE: 0.900000 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: Under the supervision ofa Registered Nurse, the Observation Unit Technician (OBS Tech) performsroutine service duties and basic nursing procedures necessary to providefor care, comfort, and safety of patients in the Observation Unit. Mayalso float to Emergency Department to provide additional support.Reports to nurse manager. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: One to two years of previous experience as a Patient CareTech (PCT) or Emergency Medical Technician is required.EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completionof a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician(EMT) program is required.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to read,write and communicate complicated verbal and written communications at alevel normally acquired through completion of a high schooleducation.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State of Wisconsin Emergency MedicalTechnician License or State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certificationis required.
