NUTRITION EDUCATOR

Adagio Health operates 9 medical offices in western Pennsylvania that also address social determinants of health such as food insecurity, behavioral health, and care navigation; manages the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in 5 Pennsylvania counties; promotes tobacco/vaping prevention and cessation; oversees breast and cervical cancer screening and treatment programs across Pennsylvania; and empowers local communities to address nutritional, reproductive, and behavioral health; positive relationship building; and life skills through an array of clinical and education programs.

　　POSITION DETAILS:

　　The Nutrition Educator position is an essential role in the Nutrition & Education Department. The Nutrition Educator will support the implementation of:

　　Power Up program- a SNAP-Education program delivering nutrition and physical activity to the low-income population along with public health approaches to support implementing education into action.Teen Outreach Program (TOP)- a social-emotional learning curricula designed for middle and high school youth.Additional programs related to public health as applicable.RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.Maintains regular communication with program partners.Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.Delivers indirect channels.Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.Works/travels in any offices as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming. Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car. Travel is required on a regular basis.
