  Overview

  St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join our amazing Clinical Oncology team!

  Position Summary

  St. Luke’s Health System is seeking a full-time Clinical Oncology Supervisor to oversee the Clinical Oncology unit within the Cancer Institute in Boise.

  You would be joining a dedicated and collaborative leadership team!

  Hours: Mon-Fri 0800-1630 FTE: 1.0

Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.

  Responsibilities

  Provide day-to-day oversight of the unit/department(s) assigned

  Provide leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff

  Select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff

  Work with staff to promote resolution of conflicts and counsel staff when clinical practice standards are not met

  Assist with coordination of schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels

  Collaborate with all members of care provision team to share knowledge and plan for optimal outcomes

  Serve as administrative authority for the smooth function of all units on assigned shift

  Exercise considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices

  Serve as expert and resource to staff

  Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements

  Assist with budget planning and clinical needs assessments

  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  Qualifications

  Bachelor of Nursing Degree

  Three (3) years’ relevant RN experience

  Current RN licensure from the State of Practice

  Preferred Qualifications

  Oncology experience

  Leadership experience

  OCN
