　　JOB SUMMARY

　　The Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit. This team-oriented unit provides a wide variety of Medical/Surgical and diagnostic services to a diverse cardiac population (i.e., congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, respiratory compromise and dysrhythmias) .

　　The nursing assistant is an integral part of the nursing team providing direct patient care activities under the direction of a registered nurse.

　　Educational Skills Required (Degree(s), Certification(s), License, etc.)

　　High School Diploma or Equivalency; Completion of a nursing fundamentals course in an accredited School of Nursing or Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred; CPR within six months of date of employment as a Nursing Assistant; Ability to perform all competencies of the position is required for employment in the position.
