Job Description:A former nursing student who has completed an accreditednursing program and is pending nursing licensure. All individuals hired intothis position would be expected to obtain nursing licensure within six monthsof hire and transition into a new graduate nurse resident position, asavailable, for the next available nurse residency cohort after licensure.If a Graduate Nurse does not obtain nursing licensure within six months ofhire, an extension of employment in this position requires the approval ofthe hospital CNO.

Unit Information:The 8th floor Med/Surg specializes in caring for a variety of both medicaland surgical patients. We provide inpatient care to patients with multiplediagnoses including sepsis, diabetes, electrolyte imbalances,gastrointestinal, respiratory, cardiac-tele monitored, infectious,kidney, and liver diseases. We also offer surgical care for pre/ postorthopedic surgeries, general surgeries such as bowel resections/ostomies, pre/post laparoscopic procedure, bladder surgeries, andplastics.
