DEERFIELD \$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS Network & Systems Technician Reportingto the Associate Director of Information Technology Services, the ITSNetworks and Systems Technician is responsible for providing network andserver hardware and software technical support. Primary Duties andResponsibilities In collaboration with the Networks Administrator andSystems Administrator, installs on-prem physical and virtual servers,switches, wireless access points and network storage systems; PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities In collaboration with the NetworksAdministrator and Systems Administrator, installs on-prem physical andvirtual servers, switches, wireless access points and network storagesystems; In collaboration with the Systems Administrator, managesnetwork/email user account creations and terminations, and creates andmanages virtual image templates for servers; Manages network printservers and, in collaboration with User Support, assists withinstallation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the Academy\'s printservices; Assists with managing security and encryption of Academylaptops and desktops; Monitor and assist in maintaining & managing ofnetworking and servers, including UPS, switches, cabling, anddocumentation; Documents the physical installations of network serversand switches; Assist in the tracing, testing, and documentation of fiberoptic and network cabling. In collaboration with User Support,terminates network data, voice, and phone wiring; Traces, tests, anddocuments fiberoptic paths; Participates in ITS technical on-callrotation; Provide support for escalated help desk tickets as needed; Incollaboration with the Systems Administrator, monitor and assist withupdate and backup compliance as required; Qualifications should include:Associate\'s Degree and/or professional certification in networking oroperating systems required; Bachelor\'s degree preferred; 1-3 years\'experience in network and server systems deployment and managementrequired; experience working in an academic environment preferred;strong customer service orientation; outstanding communication,organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to be self-directedand resourceful; able to perform a variety of complicated tasks; solidtrouble-shooting skills; can participate as an effective member of ateam, and work collaboratively and effectively with peers; willingnessand ability to learn new technologies as needed; Sensitivity toconfidential information; sensitivity to confidential information and ademonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and to serving theneeds of a diverse community. **SIGN-ON BONUS** The successfulcandidate will receive a \$1,000 sign-on bonus (\$500 paid at time ofhire and \$500 paid at the end of 90 days of employment.
