Description

　　Robert Half is sourcing for a high-level Network Engineer for one of our local Houston clients, this would require an onsite work schedule. Our client is continuing to expand their networking team and are seeking to add a skilled and specialized Network Engineer with expertise in F5 load balancing and Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI) technologies.

　　Responsibilities:

　　F5 Load Balancing:

　　Architect, design, and implement F5 BIG-IP solutions for load balancing and application delivery.

　　Configure and manage F5 load balancers to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

　　Implement SSL offloading, iRules, and leverage F5 features for advanced traffic management.

　　Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI):

　　Utilize VCI concepts in the context of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) networks.

　　Configure and manage virtual channels to optimize network traffic and routing.

　　Network Optimization:

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance through load balancing and VCI strategies.

　　Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to load balancing and VCI configurations.

　　Security and Compliance:

　　Implement security best practices on F5 devices and ensure compliance with industry standards.

　　Monitor and address security vulnerabilities related to load balancing and VCI technologies.

　　Documentation:

　　Maintain detailed documentation of F5 load balancing and VCI configurations, changes, and best practices.

　　Create and update network diagrams, procedures, and guidelines.

　　Requirements

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

　　Proven experience as a Network Engineer with specialized expertise in F5 load balancing and VCI technologies.

　　F5 certification (e.g., F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator) is highly desirable.

　　Solid understanding of VCI in ATM networks and its role in network optimization.

　　Proficient in configuring and managing F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM.

　　Experience with SSL offloading, iRules, and leveraging F5 features for traffic management.

　　Strong networking background with knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching.

　　Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

　　Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
