Manages, maintains, and configures Kenyon's network across the entire institution, this includes the installation, configuration, monitoring, and management of core switches, routers, wireless infrastructure components and firewalls; participates in the Information Technology Services department resource planning and project scheduling, especially with regard to the campus network; collaborates with the Help Desk and other departments to resolve network-related issues; participates in the development of campus technology budgets and the technology procurement process; participates in the regular review of campus technology contracts and service agreements; builds and sustains key relationships with other departmental colleagues in handling of project expectations, scope, deliverables, and metrics; supports and participates in the application of college data privacy, policies, and procedures; ensures network system compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as CALEA, PCI, FERPA, GDPR, and GLBA; supports and participates in virtualization and cloud initiatives for technology services and systems; participates in the Information Security planning and response team (InSecT); participates in the Library and Information Services division's planning, policy making and hiring; participates in various planning, policy making, and hiring committees across Kenyon College, as required.Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Must have three (3) three months of experience in the job offered. Must have three months of experience (inclusive of experience required heretofore) in the following: 1) Troubleshooting Network related issues; 2) installing and maintaining common network devices; and 3) participation in IT team planning in regard to future network needs and changes.
