This individual interacts with imagingstaff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors. Acts as a resourceperson for MRI technical, and other issues, and demonstrates competenceaccording to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRIand related equipment, prepares scan room - equipment, supplies andmedications. This individual also maintains images and archivesassociated with patient data. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: One to three years of experience is preferred.EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Graduate of an JCERT approved two-year or four-yearradiologic technology, nuclear medicine program, or MRI program isrequired. Two or four year college degree in radiologic technology,healthcare, business or other related degree is preferred.TRAININGDESCRIPTION: Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class isrequired.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability and demonstrated competencein IV insertion and contrast injection; ability to assimilate newprocedures into work routine is required.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: ARRTregistered is required. Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MRis required within 18 months of hire. BCLS certified within 90 days ofhire date. State of WI license in Radiologic Technology if incumbentperforms CT, general radiography or any other imaging using ionizingradiation; if practice is limited to MRI and/or Ultrasound, no statelicense is required.
