As a Mission System Engineer, you will be a key member of the team,delivering cutting edge capabilities for intelligence systems to some of theU.S. Government's most critical missions utilizing the latest technologiesin Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps. You will help define newcapabilities and plan and track the execution of these capabilities. You willwork closely with the Program Management, Product Management,Architecture, Solution teams and government, to understand, propose,and execute. You will be the key advocate and subject matter expert to deliverthe right capabilities into the hands of our users.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of existing and proposed contract scope,working closely with government product owners.Understand the applications and services, and how they are and can be usedto support a wide variety of missions.Coordinate with agile teams to track new scope from estimation throughimplementation to deployment into production.Support design efforts, working with user engagement, architects, andproduct owners.Support SAFe processes and ceremonies throughout planning and implementation.
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraphFive (5) or more years of experience working as a systems engineer,systems tester, or in a related fieldBachelors' degree in information technology, computer science, or atechnical disciplineDemonstrated experience using Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, and MS ProjectExperience performing analysis at many levels of total system product toinclude planning, test, installation, operation, and maintenanceExperience writing Epic/User StoriesUnderstand software and systems engineering principlesFamiliar with agile development methodologiesExperience working within an agile environment supporting development effortsand system usersAbility to collaborate, problem solve, and debate potential solutions withpeers to determine the best approachExperience working with a variety of stakeholders at both the engineering andprogram management levelExperience briefing customers on project statusExperience in managing project of medium to high scale and complexityExcellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) backgroundExperience working in as an instructor or in a training/teaching environmentFamiliarity with modern, enterprise cloud developmentFamiliar with intelligence systemsAgile SAFe certification

Pay Rate
The projected compensation range for this position is$125,000-$165,000. Please note that the salary information is ageneral guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but notlimited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's workexperience, education/ training, key skills as well as market andbusiness considerations when extending an offer.
