Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for a MissionDeployment and Sustainment MD&S Lead to support United States Space Force(USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command(SSC) Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cybersolutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space basedcyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader andproblem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of ahigh performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program andproject staffWorks on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program andperforms all functional duties independentlyOversee efforts of less senior staff and responsible for efforts of all staffassigned to a specific jobEnsure consistent submission of high-quality products to the GovernmentCommunicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy-oral and writtenQualifications
Required skills:Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government(military and/or civil servant), federally funded research anddevelopment center, or profit or non-profit Government support, ordevelopment contractor arenaA minimum of ten years of experience managing IT projects with similar scopeand complexityA minimum of five years of experience leading development teams using agile orsimilar methodologies.Desired skills/experience:
Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems CommandExperience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program officeA minimum of eight years of experience in any of the following: Palo Altoconfiguration experience, Cisco advance training and certification, orGigamon specific training and experience.Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), Certified InformationSystems Security Professiona (CISSP), Security+, Cisco CyberOpsProfessional or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), or Palo AltoNetwork Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).Education/CertificationMinimum Requirements:Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, datascience, software development, or STEM related specialty and 8 years'experience in software development; or Bachelor's degree in computerscience, software engineering, data science, software development orSTEM related specialty and 10 years' experience in software developmentClearance:Requires an Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintainspecial accessesLocation/Travel Requirements:Place of work is Colorado Springs, remote work opportunity is limited. Youmay be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.The pay range for this position in Colorado is $185,000/year to$230,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending onestablished government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range ofmedical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the positionoffered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
