Position Description

　　If you are looking to move to your next level in acquisition and program management, the Military Analyst – Research & Development role will steer you in the right direction! This position will be on a dynamic team supporting Team Submarine in Washington, DC. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our Sailors.

　　Serco will provide acquisition and program management support in the area of deep submergence systems to the customer, a defense acquisition program management office which is responsible for the technical development, acquisition modernization, and sustainment of critical Navy systems. This role will specifically support Submarine Escape and Rescue (SER) in the Undersea Special Mission Systems Program Office.

　　In this role you will:

　　Provide overall program management oversight to manage all tasks across all areas of technical performance, schedule, quality, and cost, prepare and track spend plans, etc.

　　Coordinate and interface with NAVSEA customer, industry and government partners, and other project stakeholders.

　　The ability to work both in a team environment and independently, and often under short, multiple deadlines.

　　Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

　　Customer-oriented and a team player.

　　Perform other related duties as assigned.

　　Qualifications

　　To be successful in this role, you will have:

　　A current or active DoD Secret clearance.

　　A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

　　Two to four years’ experience.

　　The ability to create detailed project management schedules for S&T and R&D programs and develop strategies for alignment with the Program Office and TEAM SUB objectives.

　　The ability to develop technical documentation, R&D briefs, technology roadmaps, and notional requirements documents.

　　The ability to generate acquisition documentation for Milestone Reviews.

　　The ability to provide assessments on relevant cost, schedule, and risk factors.

　　Microsoft Office skills to include Excel and PowerPoint.

　　The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.

　　Additional desired experience and skills:

　　Navy or DoD Acquisition R&D process.

　　Recent experience in Team Submarine or Navy.

　　Experience with Deep Submergence Systems (DSS).

　　DAU Program Management Level II or III.

　　Work experience in the Navy and specifically within Team Submarine or on-board submarines.
