　　Shell/Metal Assemblers are responsible for assembling metal cabinets for the Galaxy and Video Products. The Shell/Metal Assemblers at Daktronics will report to the metal Production Supervisor and help achieve this goal.

　　Shell/Metal Assemblers enjoy a 3-day work week, with overtime being required and scheduled when workload demands it.

　　We currently have openings for Shell Assemblers on the following shifts:

　　Monday-Wednesday 6:00am-6:00pm.

　　Learn the modular and technical construction of scoreboards and/or displays, interpret technical drawings, safely operate hand/air tools, participate in a build team.

　　Learn Daktronics products, systems, and processes and assemble product in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.

　　Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours. Ability to work overtime when workload requires.

　　Be flexible to work in other departments including inventory, final assembly, metal fabrication, electronic assembly, paint, and shipping to ensure project completion and on-time shipping.

　　Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include the following: safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, electrostatic discharge wear, and others as determined necessary by Daktronics Risk and Safety Department.

　　Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, help when and where needed, make suggestions for process and product improvement, communicate effectively with team members.

　　Must be able to learn and follow Standard Work and apply lean principles to daily work.

　　Learn and follow company policies and procedures.

　　Perform other duties as needed to meet customer expectations.

　　Qualifications

　　High school diploma or GED required.

　　Good communication skills. Fluent in English, written and verbal.

　　Able to work with minimum supervision.

　　Physical requirements include the ability to:

　　Work in an environment with these types of smells: paint, solvent, and solder.

　　Frequently lift 35 lbs. Occasionally to frequently lift 45 lbs., in some work areas.

　　Stand for the full shift with planned breaks. The duration of standing between breaks varies from 2-3 ½ hours depending on work area.

　　Work from heights, including working from ladders and platforms.

　　Reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including some awkward reaching to insert components in difficult to reach sections of the product.

　　Maintain steady hand/eye coordination.

　　Identify wire and paint colors.

　　Read fine print.

　　Ability to learn quickly.

　　Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.
