　　As an Application Engineer you will design and develop software solutions tailored to WestRock business needs.

　　The solutions you build will be loved by internal and external facing customers and provide considerable business value.

　　You will be engaged in enhancing or developing new works as part of a cross functional team.

　　How you will impact WestRock:

　　As an Agile development team member, you will have influence over the development of new software at WestRock.

　　Provide third-level technical support to resolve complex customer issues on Mill MES software.

　　Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to troubleshoot, train and find solutions.

　　Periodically act as final line of support on software related issues.

　　You will collaborate with Product Owners, UI/UX, DevOps and QA team members on subjects from design to deployment.

　　You will regularly update team management on new methods, tools and practices to support rapid software development and maximize team productivity.

　　Create technical specification documents (flow, ERD, etc.) based on product owner requirements.

　　Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of your expertise.

　　Continually hone and share your knowledge of available tools, process and methods with the team.

　　Most importantly, you will code. You will code like a champion.

　　What you need to succeed:

　　BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or related experience

　　2+ years of hands-on web development experience required.

　　2+ years of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, REST and JSON required.

　　Proven experience with responsive website design

　　Proven experience with mobile application development and testing for iOS and Android

　　2+ years of SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL

　　2+ year of a modern JavaScript framework (Vue, Angular, React, Knockout, Bootstrap, etc.)

　　2+ year of demonstrable UX/UI design

　　Experienced in developing Restful, SOA-based, microservices applications

　　Experience working with container tools and big data a plus

　　Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams

　　Experience working with Agile tools like Team Services or JIRA

　　Experience with IDEs like VS Code, Visual Studio, and source control in Azure DevOps or Git

　　Experience with ASP.NET and C#, .NET Framework and .NET Core

　　Experience with wireframing and image editing tools

　　A passion for learning new technologies and techniques
