  Opportunity

  Ann Sacks is known for innovative products and services – and the people who deliver them expertly to our customers. Under the supervision of the Product Manager, the Merchandising Specialist is responsible for supporting the business management of Ann Sacks’ product assortment through product data management and assortment analytics, allowing for more informed, strategic decisions to be made, maximizing product sales and margin results.

  Other competencies associated with the primary function of the Merchandising Specialist are:

  Sees the big picture to drive end results.

  Ability to negotiate and influence peers and members of the cross-functional team.

  Consistently make confident and independent recommendations and accept accountability for achieving business goals.

  Influence and develop new tools and processes that will improve efficiency within the process.

  Must have excellent time-management and organization skills.

  Specific Responsibilities

  Product Data Management

  Oversee and input accurate product data into Datamart.

  Review product database regularly, making changes within SAP and/or Datamart when appropriate.

  Oversee the pricing database within SAP and ensure accuracy.

  Provide support for the annual Non-Stock, Inventory and MADE pricing process.

  Ensure timely update of SAP and/or Datamart to reflect product status, whether current, last time buys or discontinued.

  Product Assortment Analytics

  Create, produce, and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly sales reports including Net Sales by Collection, Product Vitality, Price Point Sales Analysis, and others, to provide regular product/channel performance data to the Product Management team to drive recommendations to improve sales and margin results.

  Develop new analytical tools to improve the merchandising team’s understanding of product/channel sales performance- driving sales and margin results to achieve financial objectives.

  Provide data relevant to the quarterly/annual merchandise planning process, including sales and margin by collection and product performance to plan.

  Support the merchandising strategy development process by providing sales analysis that identifies or highlights opportunities for growth.

  Provide analytical support and insight for product development and category, design style or market segment expansion and/ or contraction based on past results.

  Support Merchandising team with preparation of materials for presentation in product development and strategy meetings.

  Execute all other merchandising-related activities as directed by the Product Manager.

  Skills/Requirements

  BA or BS in Merchandising, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience. Candidates with a variety of backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.

  Minimum 2 years relevant experience required.

  Prior experience with project management and analytics is required.

  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; Adobe suite and project management collaboration tools experience preferred.

  The candidate who will thrive in this role enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing multiple priorities. Success in the role will be driven by a strategic mindset, with a facility for data and an ability to derive insights that lead to innovative business strategies.

  Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

  The salary range for this position is $60,700 - $75,900 . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
