Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Shift Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, aproven leader who communicates and enforces Nucor\'s safety policies andprocedures along with supporting the goals of the division/department.This person will be required to lead, coach and develop our teammates inall aspects of the production operation. They are also responsible fortheir personal growth and development while driving continualimprovement in safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability.They must also be able to think strategically and make sure that wemaximize the availability and efficiency of the department. The ShiftSupervisor will be expected to actively participate in meetings andother activities before, during, and after regularly scheduled workhours. The successful candidate will be assigned to either the EAF orCaster areas within the Melt Shop but may be reassigned to a differentarea in the future. This role requires a teammate that has the abilityto grow, embraces change, is innovative, and strives to continuouslyimprove the overall team. Safety is the most important part of all jobswithin Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate theability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices,procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Melting/Casting supervisory experience in a SteelMill.
Ability to work in the United States without Sponsorship
