　　Job Description:

　　Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the station assigned.

　　The Technologist will have an understanding of the principles of tests performed and working knowledge of the equipment used in the station which they are assigned.

　　Specifically working in hematology responsible for urinalysis, coagulation and spinal counts.

　　Ensure that all specimens are put in appropriate storage

　　Follow all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results.

　　Recognize critical or life-threatening results,, verify results, and report to the appropriate clinician.

　　Document all results in the LIS.

　　Positions Open:

　　Supervisor of General Lab - Day Shift

　　Histotechnologist - Day shift

　　POC Supervisor - Day Shift

　　MLT - Day Shift

　　Qualifications:

　　NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or valid permit issued by NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory to Technology

　　ASCP certification is preferred

　　Blood Bank experience highly preferred

　　6+ years of experience preferred
