　　Objectives:

　　This position will provide design engineering support for instrument design activities. This role will be responsible for most of the custom instrument designs and assist with releases of new instruments.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Participate in the instrument specials and prototype development process, creating 3d Models and prints for manufacturing of the subcomponents and end designs.

　　Understanding of machining and plant capabilities to develop manufacturable designs.

　　Participate in new product development activities including gathering product definition information, attending, and participating in new product concept meetings and design reviews.

　　This role will involve some Surgeon interaction for refining designs and developing instruments that meet the needs presented.

　　Additionally, this role should be working to gain technical knowledge of the Instruments product line to provide ongoing support to manufacturing for design changes and improvements as well as Sales to assist in answering customer questions.

　　Qualifications:

　　Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical.

　　Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and excellent communication skills.

　　Solidworks proficiency preferred.
