MEDICAL ASSEMBLER - $19/hr., - Fridley, MN
Job Description:
Assembly/Operating:
This area does a lot of prototyping and testing
Will work with hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, crimpers, screw drivers, etc.
They will train them to solder in this area (will use flux with this which is like a putty/gel that helps the process and bonding)
They may do some light welding of parts
Microscope is heavily used throughout this area
Will operate and run flattener machines that are automatic but can be more technical
Will operate and run semi-automated reflow machines
There is also a small injection mold press in one area that they will fill up with the resin, set up the machine, and then press the molds
Will be on their feet most of the day, but some areas/days may require more sitting, so have to be comfortable with both
This is a mix of in the cleanroom and out of the cleanroom, will be doing both
Will be working directly with engineers and technicians to continually improve processes and help troubleshoot through issues
Grinding:
Not as many people go in here but this area is for grinding and finishing the parts down
Will use grinding machines and deburr/file down parts
Will utilize computer for work processes and documentation
25% microscope use in this area
Lab:
Typically not in this are as often but will utilize the lab occasionally
Will perform welding with machines on the parts
Will use microscopes for inspections, assemblies and deburring
Will utilize computers and vision systems for inspections
May utilize mics, cals and gauges
Heavily working with engineers in this area
Skills:
microscope, Blueprint, Medical assembly, coil winding, laser welding, catheter, stamping, microscope inspection, microscope assembly, R&d
Skills & Qualifications:
NEED to be comfortable with cross training and learning multiple processes/areas
Must be a go-getter and someone who takes initiative to get things done (not a lot of hands on management)
Be technically savvy and comfortable with technology and computers
Be proactive and help find new ideas/ways of improving processes
