WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position supports the Site Engineering Manager. This position coordinates the team of maintenance technicians in their area of assignment. This position is responsible for ensuring completion of all maintenance tasks in their assigned area, making sure the manager is aware if there are any gaps. The position ensures the correct resources are being applied to each problem and escalates to the manager when additional help is needed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Coach/train Maintenance Technicians in preventative maintenance functions and troubleshooting of machinery in order to reduce downtime and maximize efficiencies.
Implement preventative, predictive maintenance and design/ automation improvements to maintain basic conditions and increase MTBF and reduce MTTR.
Actively participate in the PM Pillar and be the link between the PM and EEM Pillars.
Develop spare parts strategy for improvement, cost reduction and synergies.
Develop and follow established standard operating procedures for safety, health, environment, and production.
Develop and maintain bottom-up maintenance budget based on original maintenance schedule. Identify and deliver cost savings year over year.
Measure, monitor and improve Key Performance Indicators (as driven by Cost Deployment Analysis), for example: EWO completion, WO completion rate, Breakdowns (PM Loss), Maintenance Cost, Benefit/Cost Ratio, Spare parts cost reduction, etc.
Optimize, Create and Implement the Maintenance strategy (short term and long term) for the site, moving from corrective to preventive and then predictive Maintenance (where applicable), following the asset criticality.
Supervise/manage/direct/ schedule all activities for Maintenance Technicians
Coordinate Shut-Down maintenance functions.
Communicate with manufacturing and SHE departments regarding issues that need to be addressed by the maintenance department.
Involve in Energy Saving Projects
Work with CAD operator on design specification drawings for parts.
Work with vendors and contractors.
WCM advancement across the facility.
Ability to coordinate and communicate with teams working different shifts across a 24/7 schedule.
Experiences & Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering. Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
SAP/WCM/TPM/Power BI/Autocad/MS Office knowledge preferred
Capable of fluent English by writing & speaking
Skills
Knowledge of reliability, maintenance, and machine flexibility is required to be effective in the optimization process. FMCG and food technology environment are preferred
The mechanical engineer lead engineering improvement using a high level of mechanical knowledge, clear communication, and logical thinking.
Understanding of Machinery Safety Regulations, Engineering project management experience are preferred
Understanding of Predictive Maintenance Techniques and applications are preferred
