Description:

　　The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing engineering systems for spacecraft components, cryogenic fueling systems, and associated structures. This person will assist in technology development efforts in mechanical, thermal, and propulsion domains.

　　Responsibilities

　　· Design and analyze mechanical components for satellite systems and subsystems.

　　· Incorporate additive manufactured parts into structural design.

　　· Generate 2D and 3D engineering drawings of systems.

　　· Perform and evaluate Finite Element Analysis of components and assemblies, including stress, vibration, thermal-expansion, and modal modeling using commercial FEA software packages.

　　· Write system requirements, interface control and other design documents.

　　· Write analysis reports documenting mechanical analysis performed incorporating industry standards.

　　· Write test plans for system testing to meet mechanical/environmental standards.

　　· Lead structural and modeling including stress, vibration, and modal analysis.

　　· Interface with other systems engineering teams, and customers and vendors.

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　· 3-5 years of experience

　　· Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering

　　· Knowledge of LabView or other DAQ systems preferred

　　· Experience with fluid components such as valves, disconnects, and umbilicals preferred

　　· Experience with cryogenic systems preferred

　　· Experience with space payload design and integration
