　　Bechtel Mining and Metals has an opportunity for an experienced professional to come on board as Material Manager based in Perth. This role will be in Perth client project office, with occasional travel to project / supplier sites.

　　About the Role:As Material Manager, you will provide expertise, advice, and direction for project and field materials management activities to ensure the overall organizational effectiveness of all functions responsible for the materials management process.

　　Your responsibilities will include:

　　Plan, direct, coordinate, and monitor personnel actions for material management staff.

　　Provide supervision to site materials coordination personnel at the project site to ensure that materials are provided on time and in sufficient quantity to support the completion of construction work.

　　Ensure that disciplined Materials Management Coordinators provide accurate reporting of all materials required for work package installation.

　　Monitor the work processes and the effectiveness of materials personnel in providing timely and accurate distribution of materials to construction and/or subcontractor installation locations.

　　Develop project workhour estimates and monitors against approved budgets.

　　Other responsibilities as required.

　　What You Bring:Advanced knowledge of all procurement operations related to the management of materials at area, regional, temporary, and jobsite office locations.

　　Advanced knowledge in Field Engineering and Construction activities and knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures related to materials management functions.

　　Advanced knowledge of all Engineering disciplines, the work process, and the deliverables produced.

　　Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS), SiteSense, related engineering, and other project data systems that interface with DSCS.

　　Prior experience in major global, direct hire, and contract management projects, which include Engineering, procurement, and materials control activities.

　　Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
