　　Responsibilities

　　Eastman has an excellent opportunity to work at our Chestertown, Maryland manufacturing site as an entry level Material Handler. This is an important site to Eastman where we manufacture specialty plasticizers. The position reports to the Materials Handling Team Manager. Training will be provided to prepare the selected individual to perform work safely, such as safety training, tank entries for cleanings, spill cleanup, DOT training, CPR/First Aid, etc.

　　Below are the key responsibilities required to successfully perform the job:

　　Requires a Zero Incident Mindset and the willingness to operate safely and demonstrate safe behaviors at all times

　　Operate manufacturing equipment independently, without supervision

　　Develop knowledge of the capacities, materials construction, products, vessels, tanks, and the available routes of product transfers from one tank to another

　　Proactively and accurately enter and manage inventory entries into SAP, and complete all required paperwork

　　Ability to read and follow all procedures

　　Learn to sample and test samples with accuracy

　　Operate in a team environment while assisting with daily operations, safety programs, etc.

　　Qualifications

　　Must be at least 18 years old

　　Industrial, construction, or military experience preferred

　　Must have valid driver's license

　　Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

　　Must be able to read, speak, and write English

　　Education

　　High school diploma or GED required

　　General chemistry knowledge preferred
