This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving materials to and from storage areas, and operating a stand-up forklift. The Material Handler must have experience operating a stand-up forklift and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Time management skills are essential, as the Material Handler will be responsible for meeting deadlines and ensuring that materials are delivered to the correct location on time. The ability to work with a team is also important, as the Material Handler will be working closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure that all materials are handled safely and efficiently.POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation, Credentials, Licenses:High School diploma or GED or earning within a designated period of time following date of hire.Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification is preferredValid stand-up forklift certification is required; in house training will be provided prior to start.Skills/Abilities:Mechanical/manufacturing experience preferred.1 or more years of stand-up forklift experience is preferred.Essential Functions:Ability to lift over 50 pounds.Frequently lift up to 40 lbs. to work with equipment and product.Frequently performs repetitive reaching, grasping and lifting of product, materials and boxes weighing up to 40lbs.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.Frequently required to understand and follow verbal communication.Frequently required to provide clear written communicationWear personal safety equipment as requiredUtilize cognitive abilities to effectively communicate with internal customers to understand requestsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perceptionRegularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controlsFrequently stand, walk, squat, stoop, or kneel, reach above the head, bend or twist the neck and trunk.Provide prompt communication about plant issues to QA, engineering and or maintenance teams to help drive continuous improvement.PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDSEnsure materials are supplied to the production line in a timely fashion.Little to no waiting period for materialsRead production and delivery schedules and stacking patterns to determine sorting, transfer, and arrangement of packages and correct destination of loaded palletsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal error, while maintaining a safety-first mentalityDeliver or route materials to departments using stand up forklifts, RF Scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehousing equipmentMaintain accurate product and material inventory through proper use of RF Scanner
